Beautiful home!
The pictures don't do it justice. It was very comfortable for our family (2 adults and 2 kids). The main bedroom was very comfortable, and our kids enjoyed the cubby-like bunks. The views of the surrounding forest and mountains were lovely, and watching the sun set from the crow's next up top was beautiful. Our kids enjoyed seeing the llamas and alpacas. The location was great for going to Glacier and Flathead Lake.
Living in a fairytale
This property and its owners far exceeded our expectations. The property is exceptionally manicured, totally charming and made our family feel like we were living in a fairytale. It was a completely lovely experience.
Perfect Montana Experience
This was the most relaxing home away from home. Kim and Dave are incredible! Our kids had to say good morning and good night to the llamas daily and already want to FaceTime them! This location worked great for us getting to Glacier, Jewel Basin, Polebridge, Lake Bowman, the Bison range and all the surrounding towns. We really wanted to stay the entire summer and would love to bring the kids back to experience more. Thank you Kim and Dave! You will always be part of our Montana Memories 💖💖💖
Loved the Red Ryder Ranch
This property was great! It was our first time staying in a VRBO home and what a wonderful experience! The owner’s answered all of our questions and gave great recommendations on food and travel into Glacier National Park. The house was great, clean and homey. The bed was super comfortable and the decorations throughout the home really fit the theme. We were able to walk around the 60+ acre facility and got to meet the llamas and the alpacas! There was a definite heat wave all week in Montana with temperatures over 100 degrees but they owners graciously had the air and fans on in the house when we arrived! The only issue I had was that we didn’t stay our entire trip at the ranch!! 11/10 would recommend this wonderful property!!
Felt right at home at Plaid Swan Ranch
My family of 4 enjoyed our week+ stay immensely at this beautiful property. It's located right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Boating on Flathead Lake, Alpine slides & ziplines at the Mountain Resort, souvenir shopping in Whitefish, white-water rafting down Flathead river, and (of course) hiking in Glacier NP. After active days, this completely renovated farm house on 60-acres was a lovely respite. The air con kept up beautifully - even during the 100-degree heat spell! None of the Glacier NP hotels currently have A/C, so we were especially grateful for that. The owners are on-site & very responsive, but not intrusive. The house was very well appointed & had everything we needed in the kitchen, plus both indoor & outdoor games. The biggest bonus was getting to know the sweet llamas and alpacas - we miss them already!
“ A Gem”
The drive to the property alone is worth it! Tucked in the beautiful mountain range 🏔 and just when you think “ are we there yet…” you’re there. The owners are kind and very responsive if you need anything! The cottage itself is adorable has everything you need . Everything is new and clean . You feel at home ! The bed in the loft is super comfy! Must be in pretty good shape to go up and down the stairs. But they are very strong! There are chairs located throughout the property to go and sit and get lost in thought and take in the views and enjoy their amazing landscape!! The llama and elpackas are super adorable and they are happy to let you feed them. As in the description you are close to many places including an amazing hime up to Strawberry lake. You must go to see for yourself!!! This Place is Outstanding ! I will certainly return again with my children and friends. Carly Key West Fl.
Peaceful Retreat
Amazing property! !The ranch is immaculate. Best part is you can walk around the ranch, enjoy several places to sit, admire the beauty and visit all the animals and birds. Our cabin was delightful. Decorated with lovely homey touches with all the basic amenities. Kim and Dave responded quickly to email and texts. Our trip to Plaid Swan Ranch exceeded our expectations! Look forward to staying again! Thank you for a great experience!
Beautiful Home & Property
The home and property is just as described if not better. The home is incredibly well-maintained with quality windows, furnishings and appliances. We couldn’t have been happier with this home and it only added to our westward adventures. This home could easily be used as a base site to explore Glacier National Park. I am very particular when it comes to cleanliness and this house can’t be beat! The property managers were accommodating and responsive to any questions. Do not hesitate to book this home. The llamas & alpacas were a great bonus!
Amazing property, homey vibe
Such a cute place with plenty of room. Loved the jetted tub, especially after hiking in Glacier. Comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, and lots of thoughtful touches. Had fun exploring the property and seeing all the animals. Will definitely stay here again if in the area!
Great place for honeymoon with some hiking to Glacier.
Do you like llamas? Cause they got ‘Em. Donkeys and chickens too. This farm is adorable and peaceful. The cabin was clean an comfortable and had everything we needed to live and cook there for the week. Good local food recommendations and welcome gift.
Perfect Getaway
This cabin was absolutely perfect. Beautiful grounds, clean cabin, and very well stocked. It was only about a 30 min drive from Glacier National Park. The crown jewel are the owners themselves. They were so kind and welcoming! Will definitely be back in the future.
Perfect getaway close to Glacier Park
This cabin was perfect in all senses. Kim and Dave made sure we had everything we needed. Dave actually stayed late and guided us to our cabin which was very kind of him. It was a very peaceful and memorable getaway. Close to Flathead and an hour drive from Glacier. Lots of pretty hikes around and would recommend local restaurants and whiskey tastings nearby. Dave is very knowledgeable and a great source of information, thanks again Dave & Kim!
Great property and owners
My wife and I had a great stay at the Plaid Swan Ranch. Extremely well kept property and our cabin was great. We spent most of our time at Glacier National Park so we were not on the property much. Dave and Kim are great communicators and hosts. Wish we could have visited with them more. Hope to be back in the future.

Perfect Montana getaway
We had a great stay! The property was clean and had everything we needed. It was a wonderful, peaceful getaway that served as a great home base for our adventures in Glacier National Park. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and even let us feed the animals. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!
Like staying in a park
Dave welcomed us at the entrance of their beautifully manicured property. We followed him to our cottage which was equipped with everything needed for our relaxing 4 day stay. We loved to sit outside on the front deck or in the back yard in comfortable chairs. We enjoyed watching the birds, chipmunks and deer. Each day we would walk or bike a short distance and watch the Alpaca Llamas and 2 mini donkeys on their working farm. It was obvious how much Kim and Dave loved their animals and had food ready for others to feed the docile animals. Their property has a small pond, walking paths and several places to sit and enjoy it all. Even though there are other cottages we felt we were by ourselves. It was a perfect place for a couple.
Awesome!
This was a wonderful experience for Donna and I. Not only was the property very nice and comfortable, we also felt like we made life time friends. We enjoyed the viewing the wildlife and the farm animals. We will be back.

They thought of everything!
We simply could not have been happier! The property was everything that was described, and more. It was extremely clean, and the spaciousness was very welcome after lots of time in the car and after cramped hotel rooms. The spiral staircase to the crow's nest was a feature that the kids loved. There were plenty of plates, silverware, glasses, and cookware. Kim and Dave were incredibly accommodating. We would see them as we explored the property or left for Glacier National Park or groceries and they always checked to make sure we had everything we needed (which we did!). They even invited us to come down in the evening and feed the llamas, which was really fun. This is a tremendous place to stay to explore great activities nearby, or just as great if you need a getaway and never leave the grounds!
Beautiful!
Great location, quiet and serene. Loved the llamas and alpacas. You're about 15-20 min away from anything so come prepared to save your time. House was beautiful and the hosts were awesome. Jewel lake basin is worth the hike.
Charming home nestled away in the foothills
We so enjoyed this house and all the wildlife roaming about the yard!! The property managers thought of every little thing to make it a special and comfortable stay. Would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful and relaxing
Dave and Kim are wonderful hosts - so welcoming and gave great advice for local restaurants as well as outdoor activities. The house has beautiful views of the pond and the llamas, alpacas, and donkeys are near enough to see from the kitchen and living room windows. Saw turkeys and deer on the property as well. Quiet location not far from Glacier National Park as well as many other small local towns with much to offer. Hiking all around the area nearby. We would absolutely return! Highly recommend. Great place!
This cabin is on a beautiful piece of large property with several other cabins. Our check in and check out was great and upon check in we were met by the property manager at the gate. The property is stunning and the cabin is adorable! Super close to West Glacier entrance.
Wonderful stay
Kim and Dave were wonderful hosts. The property is so beautiful and very peaceful. The Aberdeen Cottage came with everything we needed and then some (even had a hairdryer!) My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much.
Excellent stay and nice location
We enjoyed our stay very much. The owners were attentive and keep the place very nice. Beautiful, quiet and accommodative to Kalispell/Glacier and Big Fork for dining. Great recommendations of fishing outfitters. Would rent there again in a heartbeat! Thanks guys. We have a great time!
Montana visit
This was a wonderful place. Just right for a couple. Nice cottage, very comfortable in a lovely, quiet location. Also close enough to visit Glacier daily.
